The backup software makes it easy to backup all your data online and offline on your hard disk. Seagate Expansion do not come with this backup software.

The weight of Seagate Backup Plus is 224g, where Seagate Expansion is 270g. The Seagate Backup Plus is more compact and light weight than Seagate Expansion.

The Backup Plus has 3 years warranty period, where the expansion offers 2 years warranty period. Both of these hard disks support USB 3.0 connectivity and both of them do not need external power supply. Update – I had compared Seagate Backup Plus hard in this article, but now there is a new version of this hard disk is available in the market. This version is more slim than the previous one.
